This is an independent guide to space, advanced aviation and aerospace technology organisations with an evidenced New Zealand presence. It is meant to help people understand the sector and find relevant organisations. It complements industry association resources rather than replacing them.
What is included
Manufacturers, specialist suppliers, research groups and test infrastructure operators, each reviewed for scope before listing. Generic travel, airlines, hobby retail and ordinary drone photography are excluded unless a relevant technology capability is evidenced.
How facts are checked
Every listed fact carries a short quote from a named source page, usually the organisation's own website. Code checks that each quote appears on its page before the fact is accepted. Each listing shows the date its sources were last checked.
Classifications made by the directory rather than quoted from a source are marked as editorial. A location is listed only where a source states the organisation has a presence there; a service area is not a location. When no source states a location, the listing says so.
Neutrality
Listings are alphabetical. There are no rankings, scores, paid placements or endorsements. Updates are listed by their real publication date; a story without one is labelled and never dated by when it was found.
Jobs
Open roles come from each organisation's own careers page or job board, never from recruitment agencies or job-ad sites. They are read automatically, without AI, and the directory stores only the title, place, team, employment type and a link. Every role links to the organisation's own page, where you apply; the directory takes no applications and no paid listings.
A role is shown only if it was seen in the last 14 days, and each card says when it was last checked. If the checks stop, roles drop off rather than going stale. The posting date is shown only when the organisation states it; otherwise the card says when the directory first saw the role.
Regions
Region filters use New Zealand's 16 regional council and unitary authority areas.
Places outside New Zealand are positioned with GeoNames data, licensed under CC BY 4.0. World outlines are from Natural Earth.
